Mystic Broly - Concept Art for Honor Trip's Future

Dragon Ball fans, behold Ruga-Rell's rendition of MYSTIC BROLY.

Ruga created this concept art to be used for a future season of Honor Trip, and I am extremely impressed with the awesome job that he did. This redesign for Broly's Mystic (Elder Kai Potential Unlock) achievement is unique and original, and a further demonstration of Ruga's excellent abilities.

It should also be noted that it was Ruga's suggestion for Mystic Broly to eventually be incorporated into the Honor Trip storyline, and that we are indeed planning for this to occur.

My full analysis of Ruga's rendition of Mystic Broly's design is as follows (these are the comments I made to Ruga upon first seeing the design):

WOW.

You know what's even more awesome than Legendary Super Saiyan 3 Broly?

This guy.

The concept of the Legendary Super Saiyan gaining even greater power through a vastly different form of strength is extremely intriguing, and I applaud you, Ruga, for coming up with the concept. The whole aesthetic of this even further radical change for him was intensified, in my eyes, the moment I saw that Mystic Broly was wearing Kaioshin earnings instead of the ones he wore in the movies.

The fact that Broly will be trained in the Mystic arts also is emblematic of how tough [a future enemy] will truly be. Bringing in Broly to the story already was a case of "bringing in the big guns," and the fact that he will need to acquire another extremely unconventional, rare, and effective transformation despite already having one is going to make this all the more intense.

I very much like the color scheme your gave Broly's outfit - no character in the Dragon Ball franchise has an outfit with a color scheme quite like this one (the only other with so much white in the uniform is Piccolo, and that's for a cape, not the main element of the clothing, which Broly possesses here). The fact he's wearing white also is symbolic of his philosophic transformation into a nobler person, which he'll perhaps further solidify as a result of training with the kais and becoming Mystic. The fact the upper-body garment is not completely white also was a good decision - the red edges are actually rather symbolic of the fact that Broly will still be an extremely fierce and aggressive opponent, despite his even nobler training and intentions.

Another thing that is intriguing about the colorization is the fact that the gemstones on his metallic accessories no longer are dark blue as they were in the movies, but instead are gold in color. Speaking of the metallic accessories, the broad armor-belt around his waist is a great (and much more awesome-looking) replacement for the counterpart item from the movies. It also kind of looks like a professional wrestling championship belt, which is awesome because it's extremely appropriate as per Broly's overall fighting aesthetic.

I've also got to mention: the entire design for the outfit is particularly well-done because of the fact it's a unique and seamless fusion of design elements from Broly's movie garments and those of the Kaioshins. As of now, it's plausible that Broly will acquire this outfit as a result of Kibito's or Supreme Kai's or Elder Kai's Magic Materialization ability - we've got some time to think of a good reason as to exactly why they would give him the awesome-looking attire as opposed to the clunky, outdated thing they gave Gohan, which looked far more in line with the style of clothing they were wearing.

It's going to be a lot of fun writing Mystic Broly into the story - I can't wait to have him fight [a future enemy].
